What do you like most about this job?
What fascinates me most about this profession is that each working day is different from the previous one. It is also a sincere pleasure to see from the sidelines how the students become more and more proficient after each subsequent driving lesson.
What is your teaching style and what do students value most in class?
In driving lessons, I use different learning methodologies. First, I explain and, if necessary, show the student the activities ahead, then we carry out the exercises together so that the student has the experience of performing the exercises independently. The learning process is supported by the use of coaching methodology. Most of all, in my case, students have highlighted my calm disposition and ability to explain complex topics in simple language.
What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I am a big motor enthusiast. I have traveled by motorcycle in several European countries from Spain to Scotland. I also care about creative activities. Therefore, I often borrow your batteries when cooking in the kitchen.
Do you have a funny story or surprising fact about yourself that might surprise students?
When I started my studies at a driving school, my driving school training vehicle at the time was the Japanese car Datsun 100A brought from Finland. Later, however, it turned out that the vehicle had been assembled in the Finnish Romula from various spare parts and instead bore the registration numbers of the Moskvich, which was produced in the former Soviet Union.
